Doll making

We have some dear friends who run an orphan home in Zambia.  They came to visit us for a few days earlier this year.  There was a brief comment that the social workers complained that the children do not have enough toys.  That comment got me all stirred up and ready to craft this little sweetie.  She is made using the “Patchwork Penny”  pattern in the Wee Wonderfuls book.  (Though I embellished the eyes). 

I delivered her to my friends at the leader’s conference in South Africa, and now I’m sure she is being loved by some precious little girls in Zambia
